Canopy Crew
Mission:
Canopy Crew’s mission is to restore and re-green our neighborhoods! We replant sidewalk trees through grassroots, volunteer-led efforts (in collaboration with the City of Medford and Trees Medford). Together, we’re creating cooler, greener, and more beautiful neighborhoods, while building stronger connections and a brighter, more sustainable future for all.
Imagine getting together with neighbors for a tree planting party -- working together to dig up the dirt and plant a tree that you and your kids will watch grow for decades!

Why This Matters
Medford loses approximately twice as many trees each year as we replace. As a result, many neighborhoods have become noticeably less green.
While new trees themselves are relatively affordable, the cost of planting them is often what prevents replacement. Canopy Crew helps bridge that gap by organizing volunteer planting days that make it possible to restore our streets together.
